Staff
The Principal of the firm is Constance
M. Adams. Ms. Adams is a N.C. licensed soil scientist
with 19 years experience working with the soils of the mountains,
piedmont, and coastal plain of the Carolinas. She has a B.S. in
Agronomy/Soil Science from Cornell University and has taken numerous
courses related to soils and onsite wastewater. She is a member
of the Soil Science Society of North Carolina and the National Society
of Consulting Soil Scientists. She is a past winner of the "Hands
of the Master" soil texturing contest held at the annual meeting
of the Soil Science Society of N.C. She founded Foothills Soil Consulting
in March, 2000.
Kevin
Thomas
is a Senior Soil Scientist with the firm. He is licensed to practice
soil science in North Carolina and Delaware and is an ARCPACs Certified
Professional Soil Scientist. He has a B.S. in Soil Science from
Clemson University and a M.S. in Soil Science from West Virginia
University. Kevin has eight years experience working as a soil scientist
in onsite wastewater treatment for both individual and community
systems and wetlands/hydric soil delineations. Kevin has been with
Foothills Soil Consulting since January of 2007.
Gloria Shook has been
working with Foothills Soil Consulting as an Assistant since March
of 2004. In December of 2006, she was awarded her B.S. in Geology
from Appalachian State University. She has decided to become a soil
scientist and began working full-time for Foothills Soil Consulting
in January of 2007. She recently completed the coursework required
for certification as a soil scientist. She has considerable expertise
in AutoCAD and does much of our GPS mapping.
Erin Kiser is Foothills
Soil Consulting’s Office Manager. She has a B.S. in Geography from
the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She comes to FSC
with experience as office manager in a variety of business and non-profit
offices. She is proficient in AutoCAD and is receiving training
in SolidWorks. Erin has been with Foothills Soil Consulting since
November of 2005.
